The Chamber of Digital Economy of Uruguay (CEDU) conducted an online survey to collect information about the characteristics of the new edition of the online discount day CIBERLUNES.

The data obtained showed that two million people were reached by the campaign on social networks. 73.5% of visitors to the website were women and 26.5% men, of whom almost 78% said they had shopped online regularly in the last year. When asked how they found out about the new edition of CIBERLUNES for June 2019, the most mentioned media were Facebook and e-mail. In relation to the ages of buyers, the band with the highest flow was the 55-64 age group with 23%, followed by 45-54 with 19% and the 25-34, 35-44 and over 65 age ranges, with 18% participation each.

These figures reflect a decrease in the 25-34 age group, but an increase of 55% in older adults. Regarding the place of residence, there was a clear predominance of respondents from the departments of Montevideo (58.9%) and Canelones (15.8%). On the other hand, the most visited categories were technology, household appliances, fashion and footwear, home and decoration, and travel and tourism. The different purchases in the aforementioned sectors were made in 86.5% through mobile devices and only 13.5% by desktop or laptop.

Of the total number of people who completed the form, 57.7% said they had purchased a product or service on the discount day and, within that percentage, 43.9% rated the shopping experience as "good" and 39.4% as "very good". In addition, 74.2% of respondents indicated that their purchases were paid for online and with a credit card.

In another aspect, more than half of the users said they chose to pick up their products at the branch or pick up center.
