The Chamber of Digital Economy of Uruguay (CEDU) will hold a workshop on "Keys to B2B e-Commerce". This will be the eighth activity organized by the Chamber as part of the training cycle for its members and those interested in the area of digital commerce.

B2B e-Commerce (Business to Business) is the sale of products and/or services between companies through an online sales portal. This modality differs from e-Commerce B2C (Business to Consumer), which is characterized by the development of a company's business to directly reach its customers or end consumers.

Both strategies are oriented to two different markets, business and personal, a matter that must be defined at the time of making the marketing plan to guide the sales target.

During November 2017 and August 2018, CEDU developed seven other talks where different topics were addressed such as user experience, e-customer service to boost sales, strategic planning in digital business, advertising and its taxation, and the sale of online services.

"As an association that brings together the main public and private agents of the digital economy in the country, we understand that raising awareness and training on these new tools and their impact on the economy is a way to promote the development of the digital economy in Uruguay, and we hope to repeat the experience next year, deepening our knowledge with experts," said Natalia Macri, VP of the Training Commission of CEDU.

Felipe Carrera, VP of Business Development at Onetree, who will be one of those responsible for the workshop along with the company's CEO, Carlos Acle, and Pablo Juambeltz, head of Marketing at ALDO, said that "B2C e-Commerce has proven to be a great opportunity for those who acted first and B2B promises equal opportunities. It's time to get ready and benefit from the results of this race".

Juambeltz, for his part, indicated that "for years, B2B e-Commerce has been running behind B2C. Not anymore. Corporate customers themselves, accustomed to the ease of the best-known e-Commerce platforms, are demanding that the companies that supply them match their shopping experiences".

The eighth CEDU workshop will take place on Thursday November 8th at 09:30 am at Cowork Latam offices (Tiburcio Gómez 1330) and will be sponsored by Fenicio e-Commerce, Software Testing Bureau and Districad.

"From CEDU we want to promote e-commerce in particular and the digital economy in general. For this we need trained talents. Companies have to train their employees and citizens in general must have access to training to adapt to the digital transformation that we are living and that has an impact on employment, "said Ivanna Rocha, manager of CEDU.

Leonardo Álvarez, CEO of Fenicio e-Commerce, expressed the company's interest in "supporting the e-Commerce industry in Uruguay by motivating dialogue and exchange, fostering the concern and listening to the experience of those who build the industry".

Guillermo Talento, CEO of Software Testing Bureau, explained that in his case the company is sponsoring the CEDU workshops because "we believe that the digital economy will be increasingly relevant. Ensuring that we provide an engaging user experience for customers requires that the technology works properly, is reliable and secure".

For Claudia Estévez, from Districad, "listening, sharing and contributing to the growth of those who are just starting out is what makes us grow. It means working together for the development of the digital economy in Uruguay.

Registration for the last workshop of 2018 will be open until Monday, November 5 at https://www.cedu.org.uy/evento/workshops.
