More visits, increased sales, new public conquered and an increase in mobile transactions were the characteristics of CIBERLUNES, which for three consecutive days focused the attention of Uruguayans on e-commerce.
According to data collected by the Chamber of Digital Economy of Uruguay (CEDU), organizer of the conference, the participating brands received between 50% and 70% more visits than in previous editions, doubling and even quadrupling the traffic in relation to an ordinary Monday.
Nearly 30% sold more during Cyber Monday than in the entire month of November, while nearly 60% sold between 20% and 50% more than in the rest of the month.
Fashion, footwear, technology and travel were the most searched items by an audience composed mainly of women (75.6%). Users spent an average of 23 minutes browsing the site and generally chose their mobile devices (83%) to select what they wanted to buy.
A particularity of this CIBERLUNES was the increase of users over 65 years old, which increased 14% since November last year and that, like those belonging to other age groups, chose their mobile devices to visit ciberlunes.uy (84%).
According to the survey conducted by CEDU among users, almost 60% bought during the edition and 85% rated their overall online shopping experience as very good or good. At the time of payment, 81% opted for credit or prepaid cards and 93% were satisfied with the way they made the payment.
To access the product, half chose to receive it at home or work and the rest preferred to pick it up at the store, the latter outnumbering those who opted for the shipping system by just 2%. The experience to get the product, either to pick it up or receive the shipment was also valued by 78% of those consulted as very good or good.
