TOTVS CMNet now serves the hospitality and events segment

The Latin American software giant integrated the exclusive brand of technologies for lodging media and tourism services.

Latin America's leading company in integrated software solutions incorporated Bematech in October 2015, and now adds CMNet to the development of technology solutions, the exclusive brand of technology applied to the service of hotels, event management, spas, restaurant outlets and other tourism services.

 

TOTVS thus expands its business portfolio with comprehensive and customised solutions for excellent hotel services that guarantee a more pleasant stay for guests. TOTVS CMNet is the brand that will seek to accompany the development of the segment, providing first class information technology.

 

"With the integration of TOTVS and CMNet we conquered a significant space in the regional market, successfully achieving close to 80% market share in Brazil, managing more than one million bookings per year. The goal now is to develop tools that automate the operation of a hotel and also provide mobile experiences for guests and managers", explained Jorge Fernando Bayá, Regional General Manager of TOTVS and President of TOTVS CMNet South.

 

In relation to the local market, Javier Cabrera, Director of TOTVS Uruguay commented "As is well known, the hotel sector in our country, within Tourism, is one of the main drivers of the economy, with international quality developments. For that reason, we believe that our proposal for the segment, for the quality of world class service is fully aligned with the needs and requirements of this business".

 

NEW AND EXCLUSIVE. This new business unit being developed in Uruguay caters to the needs of hotels of all types and sizes. Among the launches developed exclusively for the segment are mobile functions and applications for pension control, online governance, electronic ordering, visit module and pre check-in.

 

Several hotel chains in Uruguay already have these innovative IT solutions, such as Melia Montevideo, FourPoints By Sheraton, Sheraton Conlonia, American Merit Montevideo, IntercityFasano, Cotage, Sacramento Fray Bentos and Sacramento Posada del Virrey.

 

Another special solution for the hotel segment is the integration of external channels, such as the HIGS (Hotel Intelligent Gateway Solution), a connector that allows linking this type of tool with the TOTVS CMNet PMS (Property Management System) solution, known as VHF. With this technological combination, hotels receive reservations from travel agencies online, directly in the system, without the need to search for data on other screens. The main benefit of this integration is the avoidance of the dreaded overbooking (having more reservations than rooms) and the reduction of costs in operational tasks. In addition, this system provides accurate statistics for the application of revenue management strategies that predict customer behaviour, and also improves guest service as the reservation is available on the platform at the exact moment of check-in.

 

TOTVS CMNet management software has been customised to meet the comprehensive needs of lodging and tourism companies, with applications such as Business Intelligence, TOTVS Fiscal Intelligence (TIF), E-learning and HR.
