The Global Entrepreneurship Summit(GES ) will be attended by the Uruguayan start-up ReservaTelo, winner of Emprendo 2015.
Victoria Suárez will be the representative who will attend Silicon Valley, the venue for the seventh summit of this global event that seeks to promote entrepreneurship and reward the most innovative ideas worldwide with five days of workshops, competitions, mentoring and, above all, a lot of networking and the possibility of contact with the world's most important investors. "We signed up in February, it was very difficult to fill out the form because it is long and I only had 90 minutes to finish it," said Suárez, who will travel to the United States in June.
The surprise for the three entrepreneurs, Suárez, Victoria Ortiz and Ximena Genta, was even greater when they learned that one of the speakers at the summit would be US President Barack Obama, a promoter of entrepreneurship as a way of facing global challenges.
ReservaTelo was chosen as one of the 400 ventures that will live this experience in Silicon Valley, among 4,500 projects submitted from all over the world. "We are very happy for the opportunity. Being in Silicon Valley opens your head," Suárez said. She added that these awards indicate that they are on the right track.
Another new feature of ReservaTelo is that the app has been available for iOS systems since last week.
The entrepreneurs opened a collective on Abitab to raise funds for the trip to the United States. The collective number is 63134 in the name of Viaje ReservaTelo.
