At Búsquedas IT we always try to analyze and think about improving our practices. Not only do we do IT Recruiting and Consulting, but we are also interested in contributing to the sector by providing quality information that is useful to understand the labor market. So this year, we came up with the idea of creating an IT Search Position Ranking Report.
In this opportunity, we provide in this brief report, the data established in the Third Quarter (July - September 2020). Throughout the quarter, 55% of our total searches were concentrated in Software Developer roles. Of this percentage, 34% were Backend Developers, 28% Fullstack Developers, 19% Mobile Developers, 13% Frontend Developers and both Software Architect and Technical Lead roles were 3%.
Likewise, breaking down the remaining 45%, we have that 14% of our selections concentrated QA or Functional Analyst positions, 7% Technical Support profiles, 5% Devops roles, Database, Information Security and to a lesser extent Management, UX/UI, Commercial and BI positions were worked.
On the other hand, we see that more QA or Functional Analyst positions have been added (14% of total searches) compared to last quarter where they only made up 4%.
Most demanded technologies:
The main technology that our clients have demanded from us for both Full Stack and Backend Developer profiles is Java. As for the other most demanded technologies after Java, we found Genexus and React. To a lesser extent we are looking for developers with experience in: Android, PHP, Ruby and Salesforce.
By way of conclusion, we can see that compared to the previous quarter the number of Development positions has decreased (in the first quarter 74% of the searches we carried out were for Programmers vs 55% this second quarter) and the demand for the Mobile Developer profile has increased over the Frontend one. On the other hand, Java remains in the Top 3 most demanded technologies by our clients and PHP has been replaced by another Backend technology, Genexus.
