Through the online platform, students are allowed to publish in a forum specific doubts of any subject and grade, so that volunteers or other students can answer them. They also have the option to sign up for online support or reinforcement classes provided by volunteers, where the student can previously send their homework, doubts or request support in a theory subject and then an online session is created where these topics are discussed, with supervision by the YoTeAyudo team. At the same time, a bank of notes is in the process of being created, available on the website, where volunteers have been sending their notes or material that was useful to them in their student career, to be available to current students of primary or secondary school. In this way, the aim is to reduce the difficulties that many are having to continue with the course from home.
"Due to the circumstances, we know the series of difficulties that many students may be having to continue with their school or high school course from home. We created YoTeAyudo.UY with the intention of helping each other" says Galadriel Velazquez part of the team and continues: "It is a network that unites tertiary students from all over Uruguay willing to help with primary and secondary students who need this kind of support (such as when doing homework, preparing for tests, studying, organizing, etc.). In this way we aim to reach children and adolescents from all corners of the country. YoTeAyudo.UY has no profit motive, we are only united by the intention of helping each other.
The best option is to be able to do it from the heart
Mariana tells us that her response to this opportunity "was a giant YES to contribute our grain of sand in the midst of this pandemic to move forward. When I had the first meeting with the YoTeAyudo.UY team I reaffirmed that it was the best option to do it from the heart to help everyone in need, in this case children, adolescents and also parents.
