The CIBERLUNES, the classic commercial initiative created to encourage Internet sales that takes place every year by the Chamber of Digital Economy of Uruguay (CEDU) will hold its 13th edition from Monday 26th to Wednesday 28th October.
These discount days, which provide a wide variety of products and services at unbeatable prices, were attended by 20% of the country's population in November 2019.
Also, online search and payment for products increased by 21% in the first CYBERMON of 2020 in year-on-year comparison, according to a report by consultancy Factum.
"We are proud of the success that CIBERLUNES has achieved, which is reflected in the exponential increase of brands that trust in this initiative, which began with 17 in 2014 and in the first edition of this year exceeded 80 participating companies. In addition, in June 2020 it registered 23% of new buyers compared to the same month of 2019, which shows that more and more the public bets on this instance to make their purchases, "said Guillermo Varela, president of CEDU.
Varela also explained that this initiative represents an important benefit for the participating brands, since they have doubled and even quadrupled the visits on their websites during these dates, compared to the movement of a normal Monday, an aspect that in the last edition increased by 76% compared to what happened in June 2019.
In addition, 60.8% of the visits to the website were registered in Montevideo while in the interior of the country it was 39.2%. Meanwhile, 81.7% of CIBERLUNES users rated their online shopping experience as very good and good; while 75.3% paid for their purchases with credit card online and 93.2% said they had a very good and good payment experience.
On the other hand, technology, fashion and footwear, household appliances, home and DIY, and travel and tourism were the most searched categories.
CIBERLUNES offers member companies a space on the website www.ciberlunes.uy, as well as the appearance in the joint advertising campaign for the promotion of the activity in online and offline media.
There are five participation modalities: Black, Platinum, Gold, Bronze and Basic, in which the partners have access to special bonuses. Each one has different types of deliverables, including mentions in press releases, on radio and other offline media along with the rest of the brands, as well as a preferential position on the website.
The signatures registered so far are: 67.
