Now your children can learn robotics at home with Parconier!

29/06/20

What if you give your child a robot that he/she can build and program with his/her own hands? The best time for your children to learn by doing!
Reading time: 2 minutes

Parconier launches its kit to learn robotics and programming from home. It includes an Otus educational robotics kit + an online robotics and programming course created together with Escuela Falco.

Otus is a kit developed in Uruguay together with primary and secondary school teachers. The kit includes a programmable interface based on Arduino, sensors, actuators and more than 100 pieces to build different types of robots.

The course was created so that children from 8 to 16 years old can start from scratch in the fantastic world of robotics. Throughout 18 weeks they will acquire knowledge to build robots from the simplest to the most complex. The course includes step-by-step videos on robot assembly and programming, challenges, quizzes and more. The classes are pre-recorded so students can take them at a time that is convenient for them. Throughout the course students will learn a story in which they will participate with their robotic creations. Each week a new chapter of the story will be released along with exercises and activities.

Parconier is a Uruguayan company that seeks to inspire young people to learn using technology. The Otus kit was awarded the "maker of merit" medal at Maker Faire Rome 2019 and is used in Uruguay in schools such as: Varela, Maturana, San Pablo, among others.

Escuela Falco is a Uruguayan school dedicated to teaching robotics and programming to children and teenagers. Its teachers are experts in pedagogical strategies for teaching technology. Escuela Falco's methodology is based on project-based learning, where students must get down to work to face challenges and achieve their goals.

The course starts on July 15th.
