The entrepreneurs who will compete in the NXTP Labs Agtech Conference have been selected.

The Agtech Conference, whose motto is "The intersection between technology and global agriculture" will bring together the main leaders of the agri-food industry .

On October 10 and 11, and for the third consecutive year, AgTech Conference will be held, an event that will bring together the most innovative leaders in agriculture, international speakers, regional investors, mentors and entrepreneurs.

 

This time, the venue will be the YPF Auditorium, located in Puerto Madero (Macacha Güemes 515, CABA).  

 

Those attending the event will be able to learn about the technological innovation landscape in the local and regional agricultural industry thanks to the panel discussions, keynotes and international speakers who will be on stage.

 

Among the main topics of the event are: Open innovation in agribusiness, Blockchain in agrifood, AI in agribusiness, why bet on Agtech in Latin America, among many others.

 

Best Startup Award

 

The Conference will host the regional Pitch Competition with startups from Argentina and Uruguay. These startups were selected within the NXTP Labs Agtech Acceleration Program that ran for 12 weeks in Buenos Aires and Montevideo. One of the key moments of the Conference will be when the representatives of each startup will present their Pitch in front of a jury of investors and corporations, where the first and second place will be defined. The entrepreneurs from Argentina and Uruguay that will compete in the closing of the program are:

 

  • Ponce (Argentina): Monitoring and Fault Detection System for Agricultural Irrigation Equipment.
  • Agrired (Argentina): The first B2B network of inputs for agriculture. It is a portal created and designed for companies in the sector to operate online.
  • SinergiaTech (Peru): The Swiss Army Knife of Precision Agriculture. We unify what your field has to tell you in one place.
  • Zafrales (Uruguay): Platform that connects jobs with harvest workers, proposing a paradigm shift in human resources by democratizing the labor market through technology.
  • Vendagro (Uruguay): Agrotechnology company that seeks to provide a fast and direct connection between sellers and buyers of soybeans.

 

The winning startup will travel to the World AgriTech Innovation Summit in San Francisco and will have the opportunity to participate in the next edition of the competition, which will be held on March 19-20, 2019.
