The new TOTVS building is characterized by a modern and innovative environment that captivates more than 5,000 employees - "totvers" - of the 12,000 that work in the company, providing freedom and comfort to think innovatively. Inspired by Silicon Valley companies, the headquarters has a food court, shopping mall, open spaces with large work areas, outdoor terraces, games and reading rooms. One of the most outstanding rooms is a laboratory of 174 square meters with material for the construction of prototypes and models, dedicated exclusively to innovation for User Experience work.
Along with the inauguration of the new headquarters, the launch of the artificial intelligence platform Carol took place, offering a technology that allows organizations to improve the properties of data and expand the capacity of analysis providing more speed in decision making. The more data the platform receives, the more it "learns" about the industry to provide information related to a product and its production chain. The main objective of the Carol platform is to help companies of all segments and sizes to achieve greater speed, accuracy, reliability and individualization in their business. Carol is already being used in Uruguay.
Continuing with innovation, since 2016 the company has been working on RPA technology (robotization) whose application has already begun with robotization in the production lines of factories in some customers; this technology is being used with great success in Uruguay in specific segments.
The company's new strategy seeks to leave aside the old image associated mainly with software to be conceived as a provider of platforms and innovations. "More than a management systems company, we are making the transformation to be a knowledge management company," says the Director of TOTVS Uruguay, Javier Cabrera.
This move, which is reflected in the new headquarters and the new business model, reflects the modern spirit of the company. TOTVS is a provider of business solutions and acts with management software, productivity and collaboration platforms, present in 41 countries, with 11 Software Development Centers in Brazil, United States, Mexico, China, Taiwan and Russia.
