The opening will be in charge of the Mayor of Rivera, Dr. Marne Osorio Lima. This will be followed by presentations on the following topics:
- "The Pando experience", by Cristina Montero, from the Pando Technology Park.
- "A successful case of regional development", by Carlos Eduardo Aranha, from Tecnosinos.
- "Software: a growing and decentralised industry", by Marianne Oliveira, from the Uruguayan Chamber of Information Technologies (CUTI).
- "The incubation experience in the Brazilian Silicon Valley", by Mauricio Correia, from the Associação Gaúcha de Startups.
The activity will be closed by Rafael Mendive, National Director of Handicrafts, Small and Medium Enterprises (MIEM-DINAPYME).
The activity is organised jointly by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining (MIEM), the Technological University (UTEC), the local Development Agency and the Departmental Municipality of Rivera, and will take place within the framework of Industry Week.

Industry Week is a space for dissemination and exchange of ideas about new technologies and the productive and social trends of the fourth industrial revolution, projecting the industry of the future.
It aims to promote the adaptation of the national industrial fabric to the latest technological innovations, building the foundations to create the company of the future, offering the possibility to attend free of charge presentations, round tables for the exchange of ideas, exhibitions and workshops led by specialists in the technologies that will dominate the industry of tomorrow.
The idea is for it to be a meeting point for business people, professionals and workers from the industrial sector as well as the general public, especially entrepreneurs and young people, the main protagonists of the industry of the future.
