Reading time: 4 minutes

For the ninth consecutive year, the entrepreneurial world of Latin America meets in an instance in which investors, entrepeneurs and executives from the world of technology share their ideas and projects in a privileged natural environment. It will be next January 16th, at 6pm, at the Atchugarry Foundation.

The spirit of the event is to connect the parties and promote networking between the actors in the world of technology and business so they can exchange ideas and foster business relationships in a relaxed atmosphere.

In its previous edition, Punta Tech Meetup broke attendance records. It counted with more than 1000 attendees and offered four conferences of outstanding international speakers that captured the attention for its high level of content and information. It was thus installed as the reference event for the technological world in the region thanks to the quality and quantity of attendees reached and the series of innovations made.

As a novelty for this year, the event will be open to the general public through the sale of a quota of tickets. The cost of the tickets is U$S 70 and can be purchased through various means of payment on the web. In this way, the organizers seek to meet the high demand that is generated year after year, and continue to offer a high quality event in terms of content and staging.

The 2017 edition will feature the participation of prominent speakers such as: Marvin Liao, partner of Micro Venture Capital Fund 500 Startups; Rami Efrati, expert in Strategic Methods of Cyber Technology and founder and CEO of Firmitas; and Mauro Flores, cybersecurity service leader at Deloitte Uruguay and regional PKI leader.

About Punta Tech Meetup

Punta Tech Meetup was held for the first time in 2007, when the entrepreneurs Pablo Brenner, Ariel Pfeffer and Sergio Fogel organized an informal meeting with referents of the technology industry who vacationed in Punta del Este. The success of that first experience, in which 70 people participated, prompted them to hold a second meeting and a year later they decided to add the Lucero Production Company to organize the following editions. The event grew year by year until it reached a record number of more than 1000 attendees from all over the world in 2016.
