The Bensadoun Laurent Foundation, a non-profit organization that works towards the social and labor inclusion of people with disabilities, is conducting a software testing course as part of the 2018 YES Program (Adding Inclusion) and is looking for companies that are committed to receiving interns.

The YES Program aims at the theoretical and practical training of young people with disabilities, meeting the interests and needs of participants and companies. It seeks to provide technical knowledge and develop competencies and skills through specific training with training practices within the framework of the Youth Employment Law of Uruguay.

The theoretical training of the course will be conducted by teachers from CES (Software Testing Center) and GeneXus Consulting (GXC SA) and has the commitment of companies located in the LATU Technology Park for the training practices. Likewise, the program has professional support for both students and participating companies.

In Uruguay, 15.9% of the population has a disability (around 500,000 people), 80% of whom are unemployed. The detection of some of the barriers that prevent people with disabilities from accessing the labour market are related, among other aspects, to exclusion and educational segregation, the lack of legislation or compliance with current regulations, social prejudices and, fundamentally, cultural and attitudinal barriers.

Therefore, this program seeks to contribute to remove such barriers and efficiently link labor supply and demand by designing courses that address the needs of today's labor market.

For the YES Program to be sustained over time, it is necessary that more companies open their doors to training practices so that young people in our country can achieve educational continuity and access to quality work in the short, medium and long term.

The Foundation team values the commitment of companies and organizations that collaborate in the development of our programs and supports all those that contribute to the fulfillment of the rights of all people and seek a more just and equitable society.
