After the first edition, held in 2017 in Zonamerica, Smart Talent promoted a new instance of Smart Experience with the aim of opening the LATU Technology Park and the companies and institutions located there to young people who are deciding their future or who want to change their present.

The activity was organized by Smart Talent (Uruguay XXI), the Uruguayan Chamber of Communication Technologies (CUTI) and the Technological Laboratory of Uruguay (LATU).

The welcome was in charge of the president of LATU, Fernando Fontán; the manager of CUTI, Andrea Mendaro, and the specialist in Information Technologies of Uruguay XXI, Isabella Antonaccio.

Then it was the turn of the talk "Study, undertake, innovate in technologies", which was carried out by the coordinator of the IT career of UTEC, Monica Silvestri; the analyst of Entrepreneurship and Innovation of the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII), Veronica Caravia, and the executive director of Endeavor, Joaquin Morixe.

Once the opening was over, the 150 attendees were divided into groups and dispersed around the technology park to meet some of their companies and organizations: Ascentis, Bantotal, Dvelop, Ingenio, PayGroup and the business group composed of GeneXus, GeneXus Consulting, Concepto and K2B.

During the visits, the young people were able to learn first-hand what it is like to work in technology from Uruguay to the world. The representatives of the companies and organizations told everything about their history, what profiles they are looking for and opened a space for consultations. There was also time to tour the offices and appreciate the employees performing their tasks.

The final talk of Smart Experience was given by the general manager of Bantotal, Marcelo Kosec, who focused his presentation on the importance of talent and constant training. "In technology we can work for the world from wherever we want. Teamwork is fundamental. We must be willing to learn something new every day because what we learn today will be obsolete tomorrow," he said.

The closing of Smart Experience consisted of an after party organized by LATU with a snack for all those present, accompanied by games and music, which allowed the afternoon to end in a relaxed way.
