Fe y Alegría is an international educational organization whose objective is to offer quality educational services in contexts of social vulnerability. In Uruguay, it is a network of 26 formal and non-formal education centres, located in Montevideo, Canelones, Maldonado and Tacuarembó.
The health emergency has widened the gap between children and adolescents who are able to continue their distance education satisfactorily and those who, for various reasons, such as lack of household resources, the inability of family members to support them in their virtual activities or the lack of functioning computers, are falling further behind in their education.
In Fe y Alegría they work with a proposal that allows those children with greater difficulties to strengthen their learning processes accompanied by the technical team and educators of the center in which they participate. In order to make this proposal a reality, it is necessary for all of them to have computers at home so that they can carry out their activities.
If any company has unused computer equipment and would like to donate those computers (PCs or laptops) that still work properly, please contact Mercedes Portas by sending an email to info@feyalegria.org.uy.
