There, in the interior, ICT firms are growing rapidly.
And there are already numerous initiatives underway to generate technological poles in various parts of the country.
Today, in a new edition of La Mesa TIC, we proposed you to know part of what is being done in this area outside Montevideo, and to find out what is the giant potential for local development that exists in different departments.
That's why we called for business and academic experiences that are taking place in Rivera, Maldonado, Salto and Paysandú: Valentina Tortarolo, Marketing analyst, chief Customer Officer of Abstracta, a company based in Salto; Federico Peña, programmer analyst, director of Actualred, a company based in Paysandú dedicated to developing management software for the agricultural and forestry sectors; Horacio Iturria, systems analyst, CEO of Aquavisum, a company based in Maldonado that offers management software for the commercial area for Water and Sanitation Companies; and the Brazilian Leonel Paes Furtado, a graduate in Information Systems, coordinator of the Systems Analysis and Development Career jointly taught by Utec and the Federal Institute of Education Science and Technology Sul Riograndense (Ifsul).
