There are already algorithms capable of painting pictures, writing books and composing songs. They do it more and more and "better".
What impact does Artificial Intelligence have on artistic and cultural creation? Does it replace it? Does it complement it? Is there room for collaboration between these two forms of creation?
We talked about these issues today at La Mesa TIC, with the participation of: Martín Alcalá, engineer in Telecommunications and Electronics, serial technology entrepreneur in the area of Artificial Intelligence; Héctor Cotelo, engineer in Computer Science graduated from the Catholic University of Uruguay, professional in project management with PMP certification, creator of the device with which the song "Celeste inteligencia" was made; Pablo Musé, electrical engineer, master in Mathematics, Vision and Learning, has more than 10 years of experience in Machine Learning, particularly in applications to diagnosis from medical images; Pablo Casacuberta, visual artist, director and filmmaker, director of the documentary "Clemente Estable, aprendizajes de un maestro". In recent years he has developed a growing interest in the intersection between neuroscience and art.
