The main objective of this initiative is to find innovative solutions to facilitate coexistence in training centres, as these spaces are characterised by their high density of occupation, limited surface areas and where physical contact is very common, such as: classrooms, cafeterias, playgrounds, changing rooms, bathrooms, laboratories, libraries, auditoriums or infirmaries.

The call, which will be open until 6 July, is supported by the foundations Comité Español de los Colegios del Mundo Unido, Empieza por Educar, Ashoka, Créate and Scientia, as well as the global entrepreneurship platform South Summit and the educational institution La Salle. The Community of Madrid has also joined this initiative, which will support the development of a pilot programme for the winning start-up of the challenge. All these entities will form part of the selection committee for the winning project, together with experts from the medical and academic fields. Likewise, the Uruguayan Dario Greni, teacher and director of the Alfred Nobel School No. 88 in Las Violetas (Canelones), which is part of the Piecitos Colorados programme of the Prosegur Foundation, will participate as a Latin American representative on the jury.
This challenge is open to anyone who has an idea, a prototype or a commercial product that can provide a solution to this urgent social need. The winning startup will have the opportunity to develop pilot tests in an educational centre in the Community of Madrid. Subsequently, the commercialisation process will begin at a global level. In this sense, the scalability of the solution is very relevant, as this is a problem of global impact, with large regions where access to face-to-face education is even more necessary given the depth of the digital divide. An impact that the Prosegur Foundation has been able to demonstrate through its development cooperation programme, Piecitos Colorados, which has schools in 6 Latin American countries.
