Students from rural Tacuarembó high school win robotics competition in Los Angeles

Students from the Liceo Rural de Las Toscas de Caraguatá, in Tacuarembó, competed in the "Open First Lego League" competition in California along with 100 teams from Japan, the United States and Brazil.

The system presented by the Uruguayan students aims to recycle water during the rainy season for use in periods of drought. 

 

The head of the Ceibal Plan Digital Laboratory, Magela Fuzzati, highlighted the importance of this achievement. 

 

Camila Martínez, Tariza Silva, Paulino Silva, Celina López, Sandro Pereira, accompanied by the History teacher, Hugo Lima, received the award in Legoland. 

 

The students were evaluated in the topic Hydrodynamics, in categories such as project (where they were recognized), values and robot design.
