Entrepreneurs of the Uruguayan digital sector will participate in the e-Commerce Day in Chile With the collaboration of the online tourism agency TocTocViajes, the Chamber of Digital Economy of Uruguay (CEDU) will undertake its first international mission of the year. The destination will be Santiago de Chile, where a group of Uruguayan entrepreneurs will participate in the third edition of the e-Commerce Day and the Omnicommerce Experience of the Andean country, to be held on Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 April respectively.
The delegation, led by the president of CEDU, Guillermo Varela, will be integrated by representatives of the companies Fenicio eCommerce, IUGO SRL, Montevideo Shopping Center, New Age Data, Pyxis, Supercomercio, TiendaMIA.com, TocTocViajes, UES, Wikimusculos.com and woOw!
The e-Commerce Day Santiago will feature more than 30 high-level speakers, who among other topics will analyze the progress of the new global retail ecosystem and its impact on the Chilean and regional economy. Also on the table will be the search for tools to overcome the landing of Amazon.com in Latin America, as well as strategies to achieve maximum profitability through technology.
On the following day, the CEDU delegation will visit Chilean companies that lead the sector to learn how they operate as part of the Omnicommerce Experience Chile.
"Chile is one of the most economically developed markets. Learning their best practices and exchanging first-hand experiences will allow Uruguayan companies to discover success stories or implementations that we can adapt to our reality," said Varela, who in addition to chairing the CEDU is CEO of Handsoft S.A. and director of Plexo.
The businessman added that at the industry level, participation in the e-Commerce Day and the Omnicommerce Experience in Chile will be "a good opportunity to evaluate our own evolution. For our sector it is important this opportunity for exchange, both with trans-Andean companies as with the partners of the Chamber that will be part of the delegation. These actions imply the strengthening of one of the main bases of the Chamber, which is the collaboration between its members".
The e-Commerce Day, which this year will reach 18 countries in Latin America including Uruguay, is organized by the non-profit organization e-Commerce Institute and their respective Chambers at the local level with the aim of boosting the e-commerce industry.
