Due to the global emergency context and the impossibility of holding mass meetings in person, the eCommerce Day planned for 11 August will be held in an online format.

The eCommerce Day Uruguay Online [Live] Experience is a training and networking event with live activities in digital format with television quality, organised by the eCommerce Institute and the Chamber of the Digital Economy of Uruguay - CEDU.

This meeting has been held in the country for 9 years and this edition will be the first in a non-attendance format, due to the current situation, but retains the same spirit of the event, connecting professionals from the digital industry throughout Latin America through knowledge.

To participate, prior registration is required at www.ecommerceday.org.uy and access is free for all those interested, not only from Uruguay, but also from the rest of Latin America and the world.

This revolutionary new format adds to the value proposition of the eCommerce DAY Tour innovative activities that include online interactions with the aim of accelerating sales and the incorporation of digital channels in companies and ventures.

During the eCommerce Day Uruguay Online [Live] Experience companies and professionals can participate in different special activities:

DrWebChallege: The application is made during the event and then up to 10 interested parties will be selected and will benefit from a Virtual Site Clinic conducted by experts free of charge: https://www.ecommerceday.org.uy/2020/drweb-challenge/

eWomenChallenge: During the event, digital projects led by women who want to receive mentoring to implement an Action Plan that seeks to significantly influence one of the KPIs in the field of work and serve as an example of their vision of leadership achieving tangible benefits for their organisation are nominated: https://www.ecommerceday.org.uy/2020/ewomen-challenge/

Among the special activities that will take place during the event, professionals will be able to participate in the eCommerce Award's Uruguay 2020, by registering until August 6th at the following link: https://www.ecommerceday.org.uy/2020/ecommerce-award/

Why participate? Professionalisation as a key to sustained business growth

The eruption of COVID-19 worldwide changed everything in our lives: the way we work, study and consume everything from products and services to content, with a large part of the world complying with compulsory social isolation as a health measure. This crisis accelerated the digitisation of societies, bursting into households and changing technological adoption and digital transformation.

We have experienced a surprising global digital explosion. The future is uncertain for many, which is why we must continue to work on the professionalisation of the industry's human capital, so that companies are able to overcome this challenge, transforming it into an opportunity and capitalising on the learning for what will be post-COVID-19.

"It is one of the opportunities to bring the ecosystem together, to train, to keep abreast of developments in the sector and to strengthen the network of the digital ecosystem," said Guillermo Varela, President of CEDU.

"From the eCommerce Institute we make this mutation tangible, promoting continuous professionalisation through open and free access to this new version of the Online [Live] Experience. A crisis like the one we are going through will not prevent the continuity of our businesses, jobs and activities if we know how to use the technological resources that are within our reach", said Marcos Pueyrredon, president of the eCommerce Institute.

Today, more than ever, it is time to prepare your skills for the new and dynamic scenarios that are coming. That is why during this free virtual training, the current panorama of the online channel will be analysed: rising verticals, consumer habits, new players in the digital ecosystem and tools will be provided to carry out the online sales strategy taking into account the new global situation.
