MES East is specifically oriented to CIOs of medium-sized companies in the East Coast of the United States and has the support of Gartner, so the Uruguayan companies that participated in the event together with Uruguay XXI had the opportunity to promote their solutions among 170 CIOs through the coordination of one-on-one meetings.

Uruguay also organized a Private Reception to which it invited a select group of CIOs defined as strategic for Uruguayan companies, which was attended by 19 CIOs who, in addition to tasting Uruguayan wines and delicatessen, were able to enjoy a fantastic evening of networking.
The companies that accompanied the delegation were Capicua, Cualit, Lagash and Switch. They participated with first level representatives and had an outstanding presence in all areas of the conference which resulted in Uruguay Smart Services being recognized in MES Xcellence Awards with two important nominations: Pavilion Best Strategy and Best of Show Event.

On the other hand, the Uruguay Smart Services team took advantage of its visit to the United States to set up an agenda of meetings with public and private actors of interest for the promotion of Uruguay with a focus on the IT and Architecture sectors, in Indianapolis and Chicago.
