Open call for women entrepreneurs from all over the country 8M_2018

In the framework of gender policies carried out by the MIEM, the ninth edition of the Call for Women Entrepreneurs 8M_2018 is announced.

Projects that promote innovation, generate substantial improvements in key areas of their companies and have a positive impact on their competitiveness will be received, for which the MIEM will grant funding of $ 1,000,000 (one million Uruguayan pesos) to the selected projects.

 

This funding is non-refundable and may not exceed $350,000 (three hundred and fifty thousand Uruguayan pesos) per project.

 

The object includes all entrepreneurs whose companies are micro, small or medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and develop productive activities or services related to production and are also integrated into the production chains of ministerial interest. It does not include trade, tourism and services in general, nor primary production such as animal husbandry, agriculture, etc.

 

The projects must generate improvements in products, services, processes and/or marketing and/or the strengthening of the company's management capacities and skills, with the creation of quality employment aimed at young women being positively valued.

 

The call is aimed at women entrepreneurs over 18 years of age who are:

 

  • Owners and those responsible for the operational management of the company.
  • Members of Cooperatives whose number of female members is at least 60% of the total and whose operational management is in charge of one of these.
  • Members of commercial companies that are at least 60 per cent owned by women partners and whose operational management is carried out by one of them.
  • The project applicants are all the owners/partners involved in the company where the project will be carried out, but for the operational purposes of the call for proposals they must name one of them as the referent.

 

Deadline for submission of projects: 31 May 2018.
