Learn about the Tools available for the ICT industry presented at the fair "Opportunities to Grow".

In the Telecommunications Tower, a series of tools were presented to boost the growth of small and medium-sized companies dedicated to information technologies.

This is the first time that such initiatives have focused exclusively on IT companies, according to Guillermo Moncecchi, Undersecretary of Industry, Energy and Mining.

 

 

The following is a list of the main tools available for ICTs:

 

DINAPYME

This entity attached to the MIEM offers financing for participation in international fairs, as well as programmes for the integral improvement of products in packaging, design, export methods, and others. You can find more information at www.dinapyme.gub.uy.

 

ANDE 

The National Development Agency has non-refundable funds available to support entrepreneurs throughout the country. The ANDE Seed Project provides up to 80% of the cost of a qualifying project, with a ceiling of 640,000 pesos.

 

ANII

The National Agency for Research and Information has tools for innovation, implementation and improvement of systems. Among other subsidies, it provides support for the hiring of national or international consultants. It also offers support for the recruitment of R&D&I (Research, Development and Innovation) professionals. It also provides support for staff mobility and training abroad.

 

LATU

The Technological Laboratory of Uruguay has several programmes such as +IN, which offers technical assistance, training and support in the implementation of innovation systems. It also provides advice on the implementation of standards such as ISO9001 or ISO20001, the latter being specific to ICTs.

 

Uruguay XXI

This is the government agency for investment and export attraction. It focuses on three specific sectors: exports, investment and country branding. Several trade missions to Panama, Costa Rica and Peru are planned. Another project called "paso a paso exportador" offers advice to SMEs on how to sell their products in other markets. The "finishing school" also subsidises specific training for companies.

 

INCUBACOOP

This is an agreement between MIEM, INACOOP, and CUDECOOP. It incubates projects that give rise to the birth of SMEs. It operates through calls for proposals and covers areas such as life sciences, information technologies, communication, design, metallurgy, and others. www. incubacoop.org.uy

 

INCUBAELECTRO

This is a call for advanced students or graduates in technical and university electronics, and SMEs up to 3 years old. It will support project incubation and the call is open until 30 September inclusive. www.miem.gub.uy/incubaelectro

 

Other organisations such as PIEP, República Microfinanzas, SIGA, ACCE, and several others are supporting initiatives within the framework of this fair.
