The Uruguayan Chamber of Information Technology (Cuti) gathered members and friends to bid farewell to the year and distinguish the most outstanding companies in the industry. The celebration took place on Wednesday 5 December at the Club de los Industriales, where more than 200 people attended to share and toast the achievements that the Chamber has built together with its more than 370 members in its first 29 years of activity.
During the evening, the 5th edition of the Cuti Awards, the Uruguayan Technology Industry Awards given by the Chamber, were presented. This year, the following four categories were recognised:
- Best software product: GeneXus
- Most innovative company of the year: Pyxis
- Startup of the year: MiCheque
- Best exporting company: GeneXus
In addition, the Chamber gave a Special Recognition to Mariano de Larrobla, director of Larrobla & Asociados, for his important contribution to the development of the ICT industry in Uruguay.
In 2019 Cuti will celebrate 30 years of activity. On 12 April 1989, a group of entrepreneurs founded the guild, with a vision of a sector that has been evolving year by year, and which we can affirm is the industry that is changing the world.
