More than 80 students will receive their diploma in December after having completed the three levels of the Testing course offered online by the Software Testing Center (CES). Among them are 35 young people who are in their last year of high school in public institutions across the country, who will graduate as Software Tester thanks to a full scholarship program of CES and the National Institute of Employment and Vocational Training (Inefop).
This undertaking was born as a joint initiative of the Faculty of Engineering (FING) of the UdelaR, through its Julio Ricaldoni Foundation, and the Uruguayan Chamber of Information Technology (CUTI). Among the graduates, 10 students will receive their diploma as Leaders, 10 as Professional Tester and more than 60 as Software Tester.
88% of these students are between 17 and 22 years of age, and all have followed their studies online from 14 departments and from abroad.
Let's remember that the Software Tester is the professional responsible for designing and executing software tests in order to evaluate its quality. It is one of the professions with the greatest labor projection in the area of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), according to a report by the National Directorate of Employment of the MTSS. The course consists of two modules, which take students between 3 and 4 months each.
The presentation of diplomas will take place on Thursday, December 17th at 6:30 pm at the FING campus.
To sign up for courses in 2016, registration is open until December 31.
