Resorting to figures from the arts, mass media or sports is not a novelty for advertising. These influencers have been the main allies of brands for decades, but with social networks the rules of the game have changed.
Spotlike: A platform to connect brands and influencers
A platform to find the right influencer for a specific brand: that's what Spotlike is for, a service created by Uruguayan entrepreneurs Bruno Petcho, Nicolás Ovalle and Marcelo Sanguinetti, which seeks to satisfy the need for information by companies, and allow youtubers to monetize their content.
To do so, youtubers must register on the platform, which will be free of charge. With that, they share with Spotlike demographic data of their viewers, as well as information on what times and days their content is most consumed. In return, they receive this information in a systematized way, and become part of a database for companies to contact them.
Thus, brands or other advertising agencies (who pay a subscription for the service) will have a database of youtubers who speak to their target audience.
The venture, which received support from the National Agency for Research and Innovation and was presented by Cuti as a Sponsor Institution, is in closed beta stage.
