Not only new products are being launched, but also innovations that seem like paradigm shifts. And this happens at intervals that were unthinkable just a short time ago.
At the same time, in much of the world the IT business sector has zero unemployment and constantly requires the entry of workers and professionals.
How are the universities organized to accompany these changes, to be up-to-date and to attend to the demand for training that comes from the labor market? What innovations do the universities have in their curricula? What is the profile of the graduate they are looking for?
These are some of the topics we talked about today in a new edition of La Mesa TIC.
We were accompanied by Helena Garbarino, academic coordinator of the Bachelor's Degree in Systems of the ORT School of Engineering, where she is also professor of Information Systems; Rafael Sotelo, director of the Department of Information Technology and Communications of the UM; Fernando Machado, director of the Engineering and Computer Science degree programs at the UCU, also of the Master in Information Technology Management, and professor of high dedication in the Department of Computer Science; and Daniel Calegari, professor Grade 4 in the Institute of Computing of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of the Republic.
