The two-year Information Technology Degree will respond to the training needs in the two technical profiles most demanded by Uruguayan companies in the Information Technology industry: Software Development and Infrastructure.
At the end of the first year students will obtain an intermediate degree, "Certification in Application Development and Testing", and at the end of the second year of the course they will obtain the degree of "University Technician in Information Technology".
This career will have a mixed educational modality (blended learning), with a strong component of non-attendance training and face-to-face instances that will take place in two consecutive days once a month at the Air Brigade "Lt. 2nd. Mario W. Parallada".
The non-classroom training component will be supported by the intensive use of the Internet through virtual platforms, professional tutors and specific educational resources for "E-learning". This career has the support of the Uruguayan Chamber of Information Technology (CUTI), with which UTEC signed a framework agreement in May 2015 for the realization of lectures, seminars and other outreach activities to enrich the training of students.
