Uruguay XXI reported that in 2015 exports from Uruguay to Colombia reached 24 million dollars.

Colombia offers opportunities to increase Uruguayan sales, mainly in the manufacturing sector, which represents 92% of the total, according to a methodology based on the Trade Complementarity Index prepared by its Competitive Intelligence Department.

The investment and export promotion institute organizes trade visits with the aim of enabling Uruguayan companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, to increase their sales abroad and diversify their export markets.

This is the third time that Uruguay XXI organizes a trade mission to Colombia. Other destinations visited so far this year were Paraguay, Bolivia and the United States. In the coming months this activity will be developed in Peru and Panama and Costa Rica.
