Marcelo Souccar, who previously organized the Health, Services and Legal segments of TOTVS, has just taken over the management of the International Market. The executive, who will have the challenge of strengthening the company's presence in the Americas, has a great experience in segmentation and products, which will contribute to the acceleration of this great objective.
The localization and segmentation of TOTVS systems, with emphasis on Construction and Projects, Agribusiness, Services, Manufacturing and Retail, are the company's main focus of external action. Tools such as fluig, TOTVS' productivity and collaboration platform, and TOTVS Smart Analytics powered by GoodData, also help complement the portfolio of offerings and accelerate the adoption of business solutions in Latin companies.
In the vision of the executive, the challenging scenario through which Latin American countries are going through, reinforces the added value of TOTVS, accustomed to the ups and downs of the economy. "We see great growth potential in the region. So we're going to further expand our focus in the Monterrey and Guadalajara areas in Mexico, and we're following with good eyes the changes that are happening in Colombia and Argentina. We overcame different moments since we entered the international market, and we believe in the growth of Latin America as a whole," said Marcelo Souccar, Chief International Sales and Relationship Officer of TOTVS.
To this end, TOTVS is also looking to increase its penetration with more channels and business partners. "With the idea of taking advantage of the evolution of the markets in the Americas and consolidate the expansion strategy, we will help our channels to be more professional and seek more reseller companies, which will make our business ecosystem even stronger," said the executive.
Souccar joined the company seven years ago as senior manager of Solutions Strategy for the Legal segment. Two years later, he took charge of the Software and Services Alliances area, where he worked until he was promoted to director. In 2012, he went on to lead the product area in the international market, managing, including the TOTVS Development Center in Querétaro, Mexico, where all the adaptations of the company's products for Latin America are made. At the same time, he took charge of the Health, Services and Legal segments of TOTVS.
Graduated in Law from the Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), Souccar attended the MBA in Information Technology at the Management Institute Foundation (FIA), linked to the School of Economics and Administration (FEA) of the University of São Paulo (USP). In addition, he attended the Sloan Master Program in Management Sciences at Stanford Business School in the United States, where he graduated in June 2012.
Today TOTVS is present in 41 countries, including seven subsidiaries (Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, United States, Portugal and China) and five development centers (United States, Mexico, China and Taiwan). The international operations represent more than 500 employees, direct and indirect, and have an extensive network of distribution channels and franchises of its business solutions.
