The tenth edition of CIBERLUNES is approaching with 58 brands adhered to it

Between Monday 3 and Wednesday June 5 will be held the day of discounts organized by the Chamber of the Digital Economy of Uruguay.

Clothing, footwear, technology and travel are some of the items that will return with significant discounts in the tenth edition of CIBERLUNES, which will be held from Monday 3 to Wednesday June 5.

 

Organized by the Chamber of the Digital Economy of Uruguay (CEDU), the most important day of discounts on Internet shopping in Uruguay will bring to the public a wide range of products and services with outstanding special offers that can be selected through the website www.ciberlunes.uy.

 

The registered firms in this opportunity are Mercado Libre, TocTocViajes, LOi, Tienda Inglesa, Mercado Pago, ANTEL, Arredo, Buquebus, Claro, Despegar.com, Divino, Geant, LATAM, Metropolitana Pisos, MisBeneficios, Movistar, Multiahorro Hogar, Narvaja, Sodimac, STienda, TiendaMIA, Viajobien.com, woOw! Aerolineas Argentinas, Botiga, CAT, Columbia, Crocs, Hush Puppies, Merrell, Mosca, Pasqualini, Rhapsody, Rockford, San Roque, Stadium, TCC, Toto, Voy de Viaje, Wikimusculos, Boutique Erótica, Colonia Express, CUATROASES, Disco, Forum, Harrington, Hiperviajes, Samsung, Séptimo Cielo, TimeOut, Adam Tailor, Gripper, LA DOLFINA, Las Margaritas, Legacy, Macri, Mis Petates and YoReparo. 

 

The commercial initiative developed by CEDU since 2014 has become the main activity of Uruguayan e-Commerce. It is similar to the traditional US CyberMonday, created in 2005 by Shop.org with the aim of encouraging online sales of products. In just six years, the campaign in Uruguay has achieved the adhesion of renowned companies and an impressive traffic on its website.

 

In its June 2018 edition, the campaign reached over two million people and generated over half a million visits to participating brands from www.ciberlunes.uy alone. These sites reached a traffic flow of up to 300% above the usual. It is estimated that during the CIBERLUNES day, participating brands reach double and even quadruple the entries on their websites, comparing the movement with that of a normal Monday.

 

The acceptance of the activity has been increasing thanks to the ease and security offered by the shopping website, which has been able to adapt to the requirements of users. Nowadays, cybernauts prefer their mobile devices to make their purchases and the initiative has managed to accompany the phenomenon with a practical interface. In the latest edition, 85% of users rated their online shopping experience as "very good or good".
