EviMed has developed several educational projects in Spanish and Portuguese for the entire Latin American region, in conjunction with international institutions such as the American Society for Microbiology, the World Gastroenterology Organization, the Latin American Society of Nephrology and Hypertension or the Latin American Diabetes Association.
At the present time, the world is combining a series of new technologies that are producing a radical innovation in continuing education. The management of large conglomerates of people, multiplied by the number of participations of these people in virtual learning spaces, generates data that can only be attacked with Big Data tools. To this, we can add the understanding of the nature of online interaction, which can be approached with Discourse Analysis tools and the interpretation of natural language and the phenomena of interaction in the network, with Social Network Analysis tools. This project aims to develop a methodology and a technological product for the analysis of the structure of the professional communities of continental scope with which EviMed works, and its relationship with the learning of doctors, using the theories and methodologies mentioned in the previous paragraph, encompassed in the concept of Social Network Analytics.
