Logicalis, a global information and communications technology services and solutions company, recorded significant growth in Latin America and closed fiscal year 2019 - ended in February - with net revenues of US$640 million in the region, representing a 19% increase over the previous year. This result maintains the growth cycle that the company has been experiencing for some years.

"The excellent result we achieved in fiscal 2019, despite the political and economic instability in the main Latin American markets in recent years, demonstrates the strength of our operations in the region, in addition to the ability to adapt our businesses to market volatility," said Rodrigo Parreira, CEO of Logicalis for Latin America.

The company closed the fiscal year with an EBITDA of US$56 million - 20% more than the previous year - and an EBITDA margin of 8.8%. This result reinforces the importance of the Latin American operation in the global turnover, as the region is responsible for 37% of the Logicalis Group's profit and 60% of its EBITDA.

The services area has once again been one of the main drivers of Logicalis' growth in Latin America. Of the US$640 million in net revenues, US$290 million came from this sector, which grew 38% in the last fiscal year.

Among the countries in the region, the highlights are Mexico and Colombia, which obtained, respectively, an increase of 42% and 21% in net income.

One of the company's milestones was the acquisition of Coasin, an ICT systems integrator that has been present in the Chilean market for more than 40 years. Coasin offers technological solutions for sectors such as mining, financial services, telecommunications and retail, and has operations in Chile and Peru. With this operation, Logicalis further consolidates its presence in the region and Chile became the third largest operation in the region, with a turnover of US$ 70.4 million (considering 6 months of the acquisition).

"In the coming year, we will concentrate our investments in the security and cloud computing business units, which are increasingly relevant to the growth and competitiveness of organizations and deserve a more strategic approach from Logicalis. Wewant to be increasingly prepared to meet all the needs of our customers, whether from the point of view of technological infrastructure or the digital transformation of their businesses," added Parreira.

Worldwide, the Logicalis Group posted fiscal 2019 net revenues of US$1.7 billion, or about 9% year-over-year growth, with an EBITDA margin of 5.4%.
