DAMA International is a not-for-profit, vendor-independent, global association of technical and business people dedicated to advancing information and data management concepts and practices.
Its goal is to support its members and their organizations in addressing their information and data management needs. It does this by sponsoring and facilitating the development of bodies of knowledge through its community of experts, as well as the development of certification and training programs.
The bodies of knowledge it develops are:
- DAMA DMBOK ® - DAMA International Guide to Data Management Body of Knowledge.
- DAMA International Dictionary of Data Management Terms.
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) Certification
DAMA has active local chapters around the world. In Uruguay, a group of people interested in data management have made arrangements with DAMA International to begin the process of opening a local chapter.
With the aim of starting to generate actions that promote the professional development of Data Management, DAMA Uruguay calls interested people and volunteers to join the Chapter.
Among the objectives to be promoted is the formation of the legal status of the Chapter, facilitate the certification of professionals and the development of the first official congress.
A webinar will be held on June 30th at 18.30hs to provide details of the activities and the modalities of participation.
We invite all those interested in deepening their knowledge on the subject of Data Management and learn about DAMA Uruguay's initiative to participate.
