Montevideo, June 2016. GeneXus, the Uruguayan solution used worldwide for its ability to simplify and increase productivity in software development, was included in the latest Gartner publication on cool vendors in Spanish-speaking Latin America.
In a context where digital transformation requires innovative solutions and strategic alliances for its implementation, the report analyzes five Latin American companies.
"This recognition encourages us to continue searching for solutions for the future of the software industry. It is the same feeling we had almost 30 years ago, when we started working on GeneXus with the objective of achieving a platform that would allow our clients to survive the different technological waves and at the same time increase productivity in the creation of applications", comments Nicolás Jodal, CEO of GeneXus.
In an era where software is conquering the world, GeneXus continues to work towards its vision because what is the only industry that has not yet been exponentially transformed by automation? In fact, it is the Software Industry. In all other industries, processes are automated, industrialized, and machines replace people in repetitive and boring tasks. "Not so in the software industry," Jodal points out, "where instead of automating, the strategy for solving large-scale problems continues to be, today, to allocate more and more people. This is a great opportunity for GeneXus as Software to do Software. We are proud to be present in the list of the five Latin American companies that contribute more significantly to the digital transformation inthe region".
GeneXus technology has created a large ecosystem of companies that use or complement the product in more than 50 countries. In a field where traditional software programming predominates, GeneXus represents a different paradigm and is a clear alternative for CEOs, CIOs, software architects and IT departments to develop innovative software in sectors as diverse as: automobiles, food, banking, health, government, retail, finance, agriculture and livestock.
