Five years ago, in Punta del Este, brothers Martín and Federico Pérez created Cualit as a venture focused on the development of information technology (IT). Today they define themselves as a digital agency that focuses its work on innovation projects in technology, art, communication, design and digital marketing. They have offices in Argentina and the United States, where they landed a year ago.
Operating from inland was never seen by these engineers as an obstacle, but as an opportunity. "It means that we have to work hard for an extremely demanding global demand," explained Martín Pérez, who is the company's CEO. They started, as Pérez said, "from less to more", with small projects that brought more projects, until "there was a moment where the volume of projects was demanding a natural growth", he added.
Good references for their work and exploiting their network of contacts were a key factor in their growth. "We covered a first circle. Then those experiences began to be references for other unknown circles," said the entrepreneur.
"We will continue the expansion process at a regional level and with focus on the US market". Martín Pérez, CEO of Cualit.
Cualit has been 100% funded by its founders. At one point, they applied to an incubator, were not selected, and decided to reinvest much of the profits. Their services were incorporated from the needs of their customers and the commitment to grow the venture. "Our great advantage and difference from other proposals is to be a single provider that provides all these services in a comprehensive manner," said the CEO.
At the time of creating Cualit, Martín Pérez decided to leave his permanent job to start a full time business. Federico Pérez, on the other hand, was finishing his degree. "At that time we talked and came to the conclusion that if we didn't do it at that time we would never do it again, it was certainly risky," said the CEO.
Various items
Its client portfolio is made up of local and multinational companies and enterprises from different fields. Some local ones are Geocom, Accesofácil, Sanatorio Mautone and Gpsgay. Of the multinationals, they point out as a success story their work for the consulting firm Herrmann International, to which they provide development and innovation services that allow the practical application of their patented methodology to help teams and organizations to reach their maximum potential.
His most recent global work is a "multi-channel" digital marketing campaign for the car racing videogame FlatOut, available for PC, Xbox and Playstation.
For a campaign, Cualit can work simultaneously in graphic design, video production, website, e-commerce sites, mobile applications and even videogames.
The team has an area of animation, graphic designers, IT development, video games and a team of experts in machine learning.
Simple Invoice
Several of Cualit's clients are from the retail sector, where the entrepreneurs detected that there was a need for online invoicing. That's how Factura Simple was born, a software that allows invoicing through a mobile app. The app is used by their clients and also by Cualit, but it can be purchased by anyone through the internet. The purchase plan is monthly and its cost for the electronic invoicing plan is approximately US$ 10.
