On the occasion of the closing of the year, the Chamber of Digital Economy of Uruguay (CEDU) held its traditional celebration for members, friends and authorities, in a meeting held on the top floor of the Aloft Montevideo Hotel.

During the event, the president of the organization, Guillermo Varela, placed special emphasis on the need to face challenges and achieve new goals in 2019. "We want to bring more partners to enrich the Chamber with contributions from more visions, and invite all sectors of society, especially the government, to give us a place at the tables of dialogue, in the discussions that occur on the process of digitization of the country," he said.

The businessman recalled that in CEDU "coexists 95% of the protagonists" of the digital economy, so the aspiration is "to be more heard and consulted and have spaces to work".

Finally, he thanked the work of the Chamber's officials, as well as his fellow board members. In the same way, he highlighted those who have worked in the workshops and emphasized the success in permanent growth of CIBERLUNES and e-Commerce Day, an event where almost a thousand people gather to learn and exchange experiences.
