Maria is a person passionate about technology, and is always willing to learn new things. That's how she applied to ReconverTIte, she felt a great interest in learning something new as it was for her the software testing and a great curiosity to know how to work in this area and the motivation to get one day to be in that place.
Last month María got her first work experience as a junior functional tester, testing the web applications of vayviene.com.uy product and working as a team with Carolina Matonte as leader, together with vayviene's development team.

Vayviene is an Uruguayan online sales platform (web and application), which brings together retailers of various items by cities and departments with national reach. Through it, users can shop every day in the authorized stores of the city where they live. Currently they can do it in stores, bakeries, pasta factories, butcher shops, fruit and vegetable stands, among others.
Next María tells us about how she lived this experience "Thanks to the ReconverTIte. Mujeres en testing that trained me in functional testing I was able to access my first job opportunity as a tester. Carolina Matonte was the leader who accompanied me. Teamwork with her was essential to meet the objectives set, without her help I would not have been able to do it in that period of time as these are my first steps as a tester.
I was working from the office of Abstracta Salto, sharing the space with part of the team, whom I thank for their help at all times. I felt very good working from the office, I highlight the very good working environment. In a second stage, I carried out the work remotely, given the conditions that arose due to the pandemic that is sweeping the world, it was essential to work from home.
Regarding the work I did, it consisted of testing the backend of a web application for selling products from neighborhood shops (vyv) and the frontend (vayviene) to which buyers access these stores. I also performed the testing of the same, in Android and iOS operating systems.
I consider that this opportunity helped me to put into practice what I had learned throughout the ReconverTIte program, I also learned new knowledge that arose at the time of testing the applications on mobile phones and also put into practice other knowledge that I have (for being studying the career "Network and Software Technician") to try to solve the situations that I was presented.
I am very grateful to have been given this opportunity as if it had not been for the programme and the client's decision to choose ReconverTIte for testing, I would not have been able to access a job opportunity in IT".
Matías Fernández, vayviene's technical leader, comments: "Our experience with María was excellent, as they helped us to measure the quality of the product at an important moment for it, which was its launch. We worked very well with her and all the artifacts delivered, such as the recommendations they gave us that were used as inputs for the improvement of the product and its quality process. We hope to continue working with Maria and the program in the future as the product grows.
From ReconverTIte we thank you for this opportunity and we wish the vayviene team the best of success.
At ReconverTIte we believe in the importance of software quality and we want to help to achieve products that have great impact.
