Under the slogan "Challenge your talent!", the second edition of Smart Talent Day will be held on Saturday 2 September from 14:00 to 20:00 at Kibón Avanza, in Montevideo. The activity consists of a free day, which requires prior registration at www.smarttalent.uy/day2017, aimed at students and professionals interested in working in companies in different countries from Uruguay.

Smart Talent Day is an initiative of Uruguay XXI's Smart Talent portal, which brings young students and professionals closer to global service companies and currently has more than 18,000 users, the institute said in a press release.

In the Meeting Area, attendees will be able to exchange with leaders of more than 50 business and technology services exporting companies and learn about their business models, the technologies used and the professional profiles required. They will also be able to learn about their selection criteria, the working environment and the possibilities for growth offered by these companies. Thirteen educational institutions will also be present in this area to provide advice on training, scholarships and other tools to promote professional development.

Simultaneously, the Smart Chat space will host talks to boost talent, with the presence of two international speakers. Argentine Sebastián Bortnik, founder of Argentina Cibersegura, a civil association that raises awareness and educates young people about the safe use of the Internet and communication technologies, will talk about hackers, cybersecurity and the future of work. Meanwhile, Thomas Wallet from Slow Agile, a Frenchman based in Argentina and an expert in combining agile methodologies with the slow movement, will provide suggestions for time management and prioritisation of tasks in his presentation "Flying, running or walking: choose your pace, it's your time".

On the other hand, the technical director of the U-20 national team of the Uruguayan Football Association, Fabián Coito, will explain why teamwork is the key to success and how to take it "From the pitch to life". The gastronomic consultant Tomás Bartesaghi will reveal the chef in everyone in his talk "Life in a tupper", and Rodrigo Álvarez, from the firm Neurona Financiera, will share suggestions for "Getting the juice out of the mango".

In the Played section, a group of professionals will share their experience: Lucía Spangenberg, from Genlives, a company specialised in genomic studies; Ximena Sommer, from Ánima Bachillerato Tecnológico; Martín Larre, from Sinergia Cowork; and Joaquín Izuibejeres, from Pharos Holding + Coworking and player of the Trouville basketball team. In the CV Checking area, twelve personnel consultants will evaluate the attendees' CVs and give advice on how to improve them. Attendees will also be able to simulate a job interview in English with experts from six language schools in the Job Interview Practice.
