This activity, organized by Miem and Cuti, and supported by Uruguay XXI, as well as with the collaboration of the Embassy of Uruguay in China, will be headed by the Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining, Ms. Carolina Cosse, and will aim to promote business and investment in technology and infrastructure between both nations.
The mission takes place in the framework of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Uruguay and China. In the delegation will travel 45 people, among them, authorities of MIEM, Antel, UTE, Uruguay XXI, Anep, as well as the President of Cuti, Eng. Leonardo Loureiro, and General Manager, Ms. Andrea Mendaro, and business partners of the Chamber.
"The objective is to strengthen relations with China. Several meetings will be held with Asian businessmen to learn about business opportunities between the two countries," said Loureiro. In addition, "we believe that Uruguay can be the business gateway for China to enter Latin America and other countries, mainly in the IT sector, where we have a presence from the United States to Argentina," he said.
During one week they will visit the cities of Shenzhen and Beijing and will visit major technology companies in the Asian country such as Huawei, DJI, Baidu, ZTE, Makeblock, Lifan and the e-commerce company Jumore.
On the other hand, on February 1 and 5, the delegation will participate in the seminar "Business and investment opportunities in ICT in Uruguay", which will include B2B matchmaking. In addition, on Monday 5, the delegation of government authorities and institutions will travel to the Ministry of Industries and Information Technology of China.
"This kind of missions are important to know how to do business in the Asian country," explained the president. Companies like Genexus are installed in China and it is important that other companies follow that line of exports.
