With less than two weeks to go before the handover of power, several sectors of the economy are following with attention and expectation the movements of the elected government headed by Luis Lacalle Pou.
Among them is the IT industry, an area of negative unemployment, which accounts for 15,000 jobs and annual sales equivalent to 2.5 % of Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
The sector's objectives for this five-year period are ambitious: to double its contribution to the national GDP.
