This is an agreement between INEFOP and Cuti, in which one thousand scholarships are granted to take a programming course for a year. To apply for this call, you must be over 18 years old and have passed the fourth year of secondary education or the equivalent.

In this regard, El Acontecer talked to Andrea Hémala, coordinator of the Employment and Professional Training Center of Durazno, who indicated that it is an on-line training program, which aims to increase the number of jobs in the area of information technologies, a sector of high labor demand. It is a highly inclusive initiative, which aims at integrating different talents from all over the country to the use of these technologies.

"The Uruguayan Chamber of Information Technology is made up of more than 300 companies and they were looking for the possibility of providing training according to what these companies need, that is to say that it is a training tailored to what is needed today in the market of information technology, and that is how this agreement with INEFOP was proposed to be executed from May, so that registrations expire on April 22 and is done through the web," he said.

This project offers a space to integrate more women, workers who want to retrain or groups with difficulties in accessing employment.

Among the agreements, Cuti will design a technical training proposal for the Uruguayan ICT industry, specifically for work in technology or technology-intensive companies. For its part, INEFOP will finance up to a thousand scholarships throughout the country.

"The course is one hundred percent online, so those enrolled must have Internet access and can do it from anywhere in the country where they are, and while enrollment is on the web, anyone who wants more information can come to our offices, which are located on Rivera Street number 407 corner 19 de Abril, or you can call us at 43633171. The course will consist of two modules, which will last one year each, certified independently: the first year will be a programmer in ICT and the second year analyst," he said.

The course starts on May 7 and has an estimated time load of 15 hours per week. The contents will be entirely taught online, thus breaking down the barriers that tend to centralize study opportunities. At the end of each approved year, a certificate signed by Cuti and INEFOP will be awarded. The scholarships will be awarded after passing the introductory course, which starts on May 7th.
