Latin America has great potential to be the cradle of global business and in this scenario the agreement between the IDB fund and the Company Builder, ThalesLab, is very good news for the region.
The announcement had already been made at the opening of the 26th GeneXus Meeting and was formally made last week with the aim of supporting the creation of spin-offs related to digital transformation.
"We decided to make this alliance with ThaleLab to promote quality jobs and because it has the support of a large community of GeneXus developers who can push the digital transformation that we are currently experiencing," explained Ana Castillo, MIF Senior Specialist.

"ThaleLab is a timely proposal for the digital revolution," says Sylvia Chebi, who together with GeneXus CEO Nicolás Jodal, leads this new model of company builder. "Company Builders are models explored in advanced technological ecosystems to pilot ideas and create companies. They are led by entrepreneurs who, due to their recognized trajectory, attract other entrepreneurs and together create a new company, to which they provide capital, technological advice and experience". ThalesLab's proprietary model is inspired by the best practices of world-renowned accelerators.
With this agreement, the IDB seeks to strengthen and promote the development of innovative technological ventures through ThalesLab by deepening support for startups, training for entrepreneurs and innovation in corporations.
