During the 24th and 25th of May, companies from all over Latin America and the US gathered at the Google Quad in San Francisco for the Nexus 2017 conference. The annual event organized by Nearshore Americas also included the Illuminate Awards, where Uruguayan software development company UruIT took home the most important award of the night.
The award seeks to recognize companies and startups that are boosting software outsourcing in the region. The Illuminate Awards opened the Nexus conference, which over the next two days provided the nearly 150 participants with different learning and networking opportunities in the iconic Silicon Valley. This was the seventh edition of the event, which brought to the table interesting discussions, trends and opportunities in the software outsourcing industry, with a special focus on the disruption of Latin American startups.
