The event took place on Tuesday, in the "Idea Vilariño" Room of ANTEL's Telecommunications Tower, and was attended by the President of the Uruguayan Chamber of Information Technologies, Leonardo Loureiro, the President of ANTEL, Andrés Tolosa, the National Director of Telecommunications and Audiovisual Communication Services of the MIEM, Rodrigo Díaz, the General Director of Development and Environment of the Municipality of Rivera, Quím. Alejandro Bertón, among other authorities.
Dr. Rodrigo Vargas, from the Municipality of Rivera, and Mr. Felipe Fajardo, Director of the Northern Regional Technological Institute of UTEC, spoke about the productive development and connectivity in the region and the growth of the educational offer linked to information technologies in the area.

We share a survey proposed by the Universidad Tecnológica (UTEC), the ITR Norte, and the Intendencia Departamental de Rivera de Rivera (IDr) to find out the real needs and demands of technology companies. The information gathered will be used to generate a project to promote the formation and training of skilled labour to meet these demands.
