Deprogram the Cube: 3rd edition of the software event for young people is coming up

6/07/18

With tickets sold out, it will take place on July 19th at Kibón Avanza, Montevideo, for the third consecutive year. This year's theme is "Learning By Doing".
Reading time: 2 minutes

Accompanying the needs of our young students and digital natives, Desprogramate was born, an event whose main motivation is to dialogue with all young Uruguayans interested in technology.

Desprogramate was held for the first time three years ago with the aim of showing young students the possibilities of learning to program and the opportunities for their professional future.

The proposal became a unique space to generate the necessary networking among future colleagues, bringing students motivating lectures from other young people and leaders in the development of Apps and technology in the region.

The third edition of the event will be held on 19 July from 6.30 p.m. at Kibón and will consist of conferences that will address the relationship between technology and the ideas and concerns of students towards the future, under the concept of Learning by doing.

Deprogramming Activities

This year we will be joined by Carinna Balsamo, Director of Jóvenes a Programar (JAP), the Ceibal Plan project that since last year has aimed to stimulate the study of programming in various fields and that in its first edition included the training in development and tester for 1,000 young people throughout Uruguay. JAP, together with GeneXus for Students and other local initiatives, have aimed to solve the problem of the lack of professionals in the IT industry, as well as to facilitate access to technology for young students who want to learn to program. This talk by Desprogramate will be an excellent opportunity to find out what these current projects have to offer to young people.
