Given the growth and importance that information security has acquired worldwide, the LXXVII Ibero-American Congress and Fair on Information Security was held on 30 March at the Montevideo City Hall.
This is a space for knowledge and exchange on IT security issues that brings together the IT community, where experiences were shared and security solutions to the challenges presented by the growth in the use of ICTs were evaluated.
The opening ceremony was attended by the mayor of Montevideo, Daniel Martínez, the executive director of Agesic, Ing. José Clastornik, Sylvia González, director of CUTI and Juan José Dell'Acqua, executive director of Usuaria.
Sylvia González indicated that this type of event serves to generate synergy between the different actors to solve a complex and changing issue such as information security. In this sense, she invited those present to participate and exchange ideas in the search for solutions, as well as affirming the importance of being enriched by outside perspectives.
