There are activities scheduled for the month of June and the rest of the year.
"One of them is the second edition of U-Tech, on June 21. A job fair in information technology where companies from Montevideo will attend to give informative talks and show their products. We are also seeking to disseminate, through these exhibitions, a company that was born in Durazno and works for the United States, among other novelties," said the director of the Technological University (UTEC).
"The idea is that the companies know the students who are being trained and trained, the students know what these companies require to have a comprehensive dynamic," he added.
Another proposal that was planned is scheduled for June 28th. It is Owast, an activity linked to the use of the Internet, with several workshops and the Uruguay Chapter, which is specifically in charge of security and contributes to the International Chapter.
"These activities cater to the entire population interested in the subject. The area of influence is Durazno, Flores, Florida and San José, which was recently integrated, summoning them for all these activities and samples," he said.
Mechatronics
In July, UPM will work with the localities of La Paloma and Blanquillo, through UPM, with an introductory course on mechatronics, and the month will end in Fray Bentos, with training courses.
"These trainings will be to mobilize and sensitize young people for this area of work. The EDED and the institutions that make it up have seen the need for the populations of the interior to have access to training and, for that, we have to mobilize them and bring them closer to the options that exist. This introductory course has a high component of possibility of future insertion in UPM's plant", said González.
"The introduction will be made with the contribution of INEFOP and UPM teachers, who will provide theoretical tools through mobile classrooms that will be moving between Blanquillo and La Paloma, ending in Durazno, where 25 high school students will be approached with this topic," he added.
On the occasion will also be conducting a training option in electronics, for a few weeks, in the town of La Paloma.
The young people who take part in this training course are given "credits" in case they decide to enter the institution later on.
